Assortment of Dispatch Strategies with the Optimization of an Islanded Hybrid Microgrid

In this work, the optimization of an off-grid micro-hybrid system is evaluated. This conducted with estimation proper sizing each element and steady-state voltage, frequency, power responses microgrid. Kangaroo Island in South Australia considered to be test case location grid incorporates solar PV (photo-voltaic), diesel generator, battery storage, wind turbine. Optimal studied microgrid carried out for four various dispatch techniques: (i) cycle charging (CC), (ii) generator order (GO), (iii) load following (LF), (iv) combined (CD). The proposed optimized three performance indices; minimal Levelized Cost Energy (LCOE), CO2 emission, Net Present (NPC). Using iHOGA (improved hybrid by genetic algorithm), software, all above-mentioned strategies have been implemented this, MATLAB/Simulink platform has used studies. results show that LF strategy utmost optimum technique terms indices i.e. considering optimal size voltage frequency responses. obtained from these studies provide a pathway resource-generation-load combination islanded its operation strategies.
